    Beginning his career in front of the camera, Haleem soon made the transition for directing projects and working with clients to bring visions to life. His work has won awards internationally and been featured on major news outlets.

    HEAD OF PRODUCTION

    With over a decade of film and video experience, Jesse has worked in a range of disciplines from sound design & video editing to script * cinematography. He has vast experience working with teams from multiple creative & technical fields.

Why we started…

Matchstick came about because of a love of storytelling. The strike of a matchstick symbolises the very first impetus of an idea. The seed that ultimately grows.

Jesse and Haleem first met whilst working on a mental health documentary in Covid. The piece featured on ITV, BBC and Channel 4 news and made an impact across schools in the UK.

We realised that telling stories had power, and so, matchstick was born.
